First of all, congratulations to Becky and Leslie, the platform is friendly, the content is clear, appealing an interesting. I just completed my profile.
A next step may be to open a virtual space for the working groups to meet and discuss and, also, to open space in the website to present the working groups, their plans, schedule… If you want to test the idea I can prepare something in this line.
    Best,

I would suggest that we have a meeting in 2014 supported by the IDRC grant and a meeting in 2015 in Bellagio. At the 2014 meeting we can finalize a proposal for Bellagio.

For 2014, the IDRC grant has small amounts of money committed for the development of more coherent projects and grant proposals; which should be prepared by the working groups. As Shyla pointed out that there will be a lot of bureaucracy to transfers these funds, my suggestion is to use this money to pay for detailed concept notes prepared by the working groups to be presented and discussed at the 2014 meeting. If possible the payment for the concept notes will be done in cash/check at the meeting, avoiding complicate international transferences. The coordinator will use the money to pay for the previously defined activities. At the meeting we will have time to finalize the proposals, pack them together and submit them to Bielefeld in Germany as well as to other foundations.

For the working groups that are more advanced in this schedule we can also think about the presentation of preliminary results.

    Dear all
Hello missing you all a lot!
I am working on a concept note to update the marginality wg agenda, I will share the note later this week.
This year I have ben involved in field work in mid-sized municipalities in the state of Sao Paulo. We are studying the implementation of basic care programs in the public health system. Very interesting and, as usual, complex.
A lot of ideas to develop within CORD.
I will be back in the afternoon (Wednesday) to discuss more our plans for the future.
    All the best,
    Vera
